Windows 10: Please assist: why did my outlook import show today's date for old emails dated over a year...

Folders that I needed imported did import but my emails that were initially in those folders are not thereweird symbols appearattachments have disappeared from the imported emailstheir dates have changed

I just changed servers to google and now my old emails all show today's date in Outlook, but If I log in through gmail the emails show the correct date.

Are you using the desktop app, or accessing your Outlook account through a mobile browser? Dates from already stored emails should show the same dates on when it was received.

Does the original message details shows a recent date or a previous date?

Also, did you connect your server through POP or IMAP?

 

WP8 email date does not show the year

In WP8, in the Hotmail acct I have lots of emails to dispaly, but the date does not show the year, it only shows mm/dd. Is there a way to dispaly the full date? It is a bit odd as I need to now the exact date of the email and not guessing what year was that.
