Windows 10: Please fix the new Print Queue in Windows 11

This is more feedback than a question. On Windows 11 the Printer Status shows I have multiple documents in queue in the preview window, but when I click "Open Print Queue", nothing appears - it just says "No Print Jobs". Additionally, the dropdown in the Print Queue is too narrow to view the full printer names, and since many start with the same path, I can't see the last digits that I need to differentiate them. As I print remotely to different offices, I need to be able to see these. This is going to be an issue across my international corporation.

Hi, how can I switch to the list view at the Print Queue?

I need to review and check several print jobs in the company print queue and current Tiles view in Win 11 is not sufficient.

WINDOWS 11 PRINT QUEUE IS an ABOMINATION

Ive been enjoying windows 11 for the last few days, until i went to print.

ARE YOU GUYS fn SERIOUS!!! whoever designed the new print queue that has no access to the actual printer properties is a sadist.

I have never been so pissed about windows in 30 years. FIX IT.

All i want is a shortcut to my Canon print queue, status, and properties, and now have to wade through 10 useless popups.

 

Print Queue Personality Configuration

I've created many plot/print queues for the convenience of our users.

• Print queue personality is set on the Print Server
• Personality settings include preset - orientation, paper size (A, B C, D, E), color/B&W, etc.

With these preset personality settings, my users don't have to go through the print configuration steps for all the different types of documents they print.

They simply select the queue and print.

Some time a while ago, the personality settings for each print queue saved on my print server are no longer the default print queue setting on the users machine after they select the print queue.

Is there some way I can automatically "push" the print queue personality settings to every client who uses the queues?
