Please help. A virus got past SpyBot and it jammed up my registry processes. I have tried Restore but that doesn't fix it. What can I do? Can I call a Microsoft tech? I thought I was talking with one but he ended up being a scammer.

Is there a tool like Spybot's TeaTimer to monitor registry and such?


I'm still using Spybot 1.6.2 - only for TeaTimer, but its a resource hog. I do like it for monitoring the registry and such. Is there a free lightweight tool I can use to replace TeaTimer? Thx!!

I currently use for security:

• Avast free
• Malwarebytes Antispyware
• Spybot (for TeaTimer)
• Spywareblaster

 

Spybot keeps trying to reinstall itself. Help!

Are you was using Spybot – Search & Destroy 2. (released 09 Nov-12) OR Spybot 1.6.x. ?

If Spybot 1.6.x.

Was Spybot Resident Təa Timer enabled ??

To be cləar, after the installation, never Spybot 1.6 + Təa Timer
was installed. OK ?

(Having uninstalled Spybot 1.6. without first fully disabling Spybot Təa Timer could be the cause of this behavior.)

Can I change the color of paste process in Win11?

You can change the color of the paste process in Windows 11. The default color in Windows 11 is a light green, which some users may find less visually appealing compared to the blue color used in Windows 10.

Here's how you can change the paste process color in Windows 11:

1. Open the Registry Editor:
   
   • Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog.
     
   • Type "regedit" and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.
     
2. Navigate to the following registry key:
   
   • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Colors
     
3. Locate the "Clipboard" value in the right pane.
   
   • Double-click on the "Clipboard" value to edit it.
     
4. Change the value data to the desired color.
   
   • The color is represented as a hexadecimal value in the format "rrggbb", where "rr" is the red value, "gg" is the green value, and "bb" is the blue value.
     
   • For example, to change the color to the same blue used in Windows 10, you can set the value to "0000FF".
     
5. Click "OK" to save the changes.
   
6. Close the Registry Editor.
   

After making this change, the paste process in Windows 11 should now use the new color you've specified.
