  2. Print from microsoft edge

    Hi Genio,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

Let’s follow these steps and see if it fixes the issue:

Method 1: I suggest you to follow the steps below to print
documents in the Windows 10 Edge browser and check if it helps:

    • Once the document is open in Edge, press Ctrl+P or
More actions button at the top last end of the browser.

    • Click Print as PDF button.

    • Check if the document prints as expected.
If the above steps did not work, try the next methods.

Method 2: I would suggest you to run “Hardware and Devices” troubleshooter to diagnose the exact issue.

Follow these steps to run the troubleshooter:

    • Right click on the start button.
    • Click Control Panel.
    • Select “Hardware and sound”.
    • Next select Devices and printers.
    • Right click on the device or printers which you need to troubleshoot and select
troubleshoot and follow the onscreen instruction.

    MIcrosoft Edge won't print

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We understand that you are unable to print using Microsoft Edge. However, it would be great if you can reply with the details requested below:

    • When you say, “control and P doesn't work” what happens when you try to print?
    • Do you receive any error message/code? If yes, what is the error message/code?
    • Do you receive the window to select the Printer?
    • Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? To check type:
winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
      Enter.

As you have mentioned that, you are able to print using other browsers and Word, we would suggest you to try repairing Microsoft Edge and see if that helps. Refer the steps mentioned below:

    1. Press Windows key + I, to open
      Settings
      .
    2. Click on Apps, and select
      Apps & features
      on the left pane.
    3. Scroll down, look for Microsoft Edge, and click on it.
    4. Click on Advanced Options.
    5. Now, click on Repair.

If repairing Microsoft Edge doesn’t help, you can try resetting Microsoft Edge. However,
before resetting Microsoft Edge, we would suggest you to take a backup of the Favorites. Follow the steps to take a backup:

    1. Open Microsoft Edge.
    2. Click on the Ellipsis (…) on the top right corner.
    3. Under General, click on Import or export.
    4. Now, click on Export to file and select the location where you want to export the file.
    5. To Import the favorites, follow the steps from
      1 to 3
, click on Import from file and select the location.

After exporting the favorites, follow the same steps as mentioned for repairing Microsoft Edge, just click on
    Reset instead of Repair.

Note: Repairing the browser won't affect anything, but resetting will remove your history, cookies, and any settings you might have changed.

If issue persists, go to C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository
search for printconfig.dll Copy & paste that file you located in the above step into
    C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\x64\

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards,

    Nikhar Khare
