    Please help! Casting display from one laptop to another works, but not the other way around.


    Laptop 1: HP Envy x360 2-in-1 15-ew0xxxLaptop 2: HP Envy x360 2-in-1 15m-dr0011dxBoth updated to Windows 11 Checked for updates as of uploading this, 4 PM CST 09FEB2023Both are installed with the "Wireless Display" optional feature.I've also tried a brand-new USB-C to HDMI wired connection.I've contacted Window support and HP systems support to no avail.I've opened HP Support Assistant on both laptops and went to "Fix and Diagnostics" and made sure everything was updated and no errors were present.Now for the actual description lol, HP 2 is able to connect and extend it's display to HP

    Cast or Duplicate laptop screen on TV


    Hello
    I want to either duplicate or cast my laptop screen to my tv. I have acer spin 3 with windows 10 and Vizio smartTV.
    I have cast on google Chrome, so from there I am able to cast to the TV. I have the cast button(link on right click), in Opera, but it does not work. Opera cannot find any Cast destinations.
    On Windows side, if I search for wireless display from notifications/project area, it does not find my TV. If I click Connect in the notifications area, it does not find my TV.
    The TV is listed under Other devices in my devices and printers settings, but is always disconnected.
    I have attached images for this.

    Cast to device not working in Windows 10 after upgrade from 8.1

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    Please confirm a couple of things:

    • Are you using Edge browser to cast the videos?
    • Is it specific to Edge browser?
    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps:

    • Open Edge browser and access the video which you want to cast to your TV.
    • Click on the Share icon on the top right hand corner of the browser.
    • Among the listed devices select your device and check if you're able to cast the video.

    Confusing statement! You want to change the display on your laptop that died?

    Is that correct?

    How do you know its the display that's bad?

    Just google "how to change display on a acer 5745"

    Should get you to step by step instructions. But first make sure its the display that's bad
