    Please help. I'm unable to run Epic Games on Windows 10.


    When I run Epic Games Launcher, I get an "Application Error" 0xc00007b


    I tried some fixes I found around in the internet, like extracting the .dll files from the .cab files located in the installation directory of Epic Games. I also tried running "LauncherPrereqSetup_x64.exe". Nothing fixes the error


    And it seems likes this problem has existed for years already and it's still a recurring problem. What is causing this? How can it be resolved?

    OK, Epic games have a page about the error you are getting. You can see this here:

    I know you have just uninstalled and reinstalled, but you may need to re-download the latest epic games installer from their link first and also uninstall following their steps.

    - When you say 'ive tried troubleshooting', what are you referring to?

    - Did you check in compatibility mode?

    I suggest to run the game in compatibility mode by following the steps below and check if it helps.


    • Right click on the ‘Setup’ icon for the game and click on properties.

    • Under Compatibility tab, check the option for ‘Run in Compatibility mode’.

    • Select Windows 8.1 from the drop down list.

    • Click on Apply and then OK.
