    Please help me I have no idea what programs I need or what I need to do.


    I'm just trying to play the sims, I have been here for 2 hours and I'm new to owning a laptop with windows 10 or a laptop in general . I've downloaded the game and every time I try to enter it it comes up with "The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fic this problem" I have no idea what that means and I've reinstalled the sims and origin that runs it multiple times, this system error is then proceeded by another saying "The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140.dll was not found .Reinstalling this program may fix this problem. I have installed the latest versions of developer PowerShell for vs 2019, developer command prompt for vs and visual studio 2019. All the guides on here have terms such as 'command prompt key' which I don't know what is. Please help me I just want to play the sims on my laptop but explain it so someone who isn't good with electronics and laptops in general can understand, I am still learning and a beginner who doesn't even know what all the keys do i am sorry but please help :.

    Why did the startup window get cleared?

    I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

    Can you tell us what you're doing? Step by step? What program are you using? Like I say, if you're using VLC, any codecs you install won't help you at all since VLC doesn't actually look outside of its own libraries.

    Just list the steps that you're taking.
