    PLEASE HELP: My computer may have been hijacked or hacked


    Hi Everyone:After I made a few comments on social and political matters, I started having all SORTS of computer glitches.The most frequent is, after some Windows updates, the computer restarts to a background that was frequent, about 5 YEARS agPLEASE HELP: My computer may have been hijacked or hacked o_One time, I logged in on it, and all apps were slow to load, and net surfing was so slow that it scared me.I went into Safe Mode, ran Defender, which showed multiple detections, while running, but none, upon conclusion; however, when I restarted, I got a completely new startup screen, and all apps ran smoothly.This has happened around 4 times, in the l

    Browser hijacked by safesurfs.com Malware

    After reading what you went through I would strongly suggest you read the advice of Monkey57 and try his steps. Normally

    Browser hijackers     don't show this kind of behavior and more could be going on. Normally I don't suggest Resetting your computer but in this case....
