Hello, please help me. My problem is that for some reason now, whenever I try to paste plain text using ctrl+shift+v, it won't work anymore, even on this site while im typing my question. I've been using websites such as google docs and grammarly this whole time. I don't think I messed with anything such as changing any settings, letting any app/program change anything or any of the sorts. I was just using windows 11 per usual which consists of mostly browsing and using the internet, and the v key still works just fine too. How can I change the ctrl-v to paste as plain text?

I (almost) never want to paste the formatting of what I'm copying, and it's highly annoying to have to paste and see it do the wrong thing, ctrl-z, then ctrl-shift-v. Even in the best case, when I remember, hitting ctrl-shift-v is way more annoying to hit with one hand. Please tell me there is way, even if it's a registry hack, to make the computer I paid for, do what I want it to.

 

Why didn't ctrl+shift+v work?

Instead of ctrl+v I used ctrl+shift+v to paste formatted text from a google results page [Google's right-hand sidebar], and nothing pasted. So I used the PureText third-party program and that worked fine. What was the problem with ctrl+shift+v?
