Windows 10: PLEASE HELP - swapping WD Black SSD from one HP to another and drive doesn't show up ?

Basically I have been using a WD black SN770 SSD hard drive in my HP laptop for some time with no issues. I recently ran out of room on my newer HP laptop and decided to move the two terabyte drive from the older laptop to the new one. After some initial trouble getting it to show up as a bootable drive and me thinking it was a easy fix, I have now tried everything I could find online to get this drive to work. Most notably I have created a bootable USB drive with Windows 11 and completely clean the WD black drive in order to just set it up as a fresh hard drive in the new laptop, but whenever

Windows 10 SSD issues - Windows sees my WD Black hard drive as an SSD - wont defragment.

I cloned my Crucial 250 SSD to a WD Black 500 gig using Partition Commander 10.

This was a Windows 7 boot drive with plans to upgrade to Windows 10 after the cloning process.

Cloning Process went well using Partition Commander 10.

All was good in Windows 7 and I started the upgrade to Windows 10 which went well on the WD Black drive.

After all the updates and reboots, Windows defragment tool sees my WD Black drive as an SSD and wont defrag, there is no option for that drive.

I received the same results using Acronis 2015 as a cloning program.

HOW DO I CORRECT THIS?

(Another issue earlier was, after cloning from SSD to SSD, then upgrading Windows 10, the drive would "lock up", yet the OS was still working (almost no drive activity) yet keyboard and mouse was working.

 

Windows doesn`t start. Authomatic repair doesn`t work.

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

It seems like some sort of an OS confusion has happened with your secondary WD Black and I'm sorry to hear about that. *Frown
Maybe re-formatting it would help indeed as the community already mentioned. I'd suggest to take a look at this step-by-step how to partition and format an HDD: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=PYCoid
Keep in mind that this will wipe clean the drive, so you should backup all important data from the drive somewhere else.
I noticed from the screenshots that your HDD appears as Disk 0, this means that it's plugged in the primary SATA port where the SSD (as an OS drive) should be. Actually it is possible that because of this Windows cannot create the image there. Swap the ports of the SSD and the HDD, this might help as well.
