  1. PLEASE HELP - Windows 10 not booting after attempting to edit registry

So I’m an avid musician and gamer and I use my PC for both of those endeavors. Unfortunately, while trying to clear up space for games on my C: drive, i deleted all of my music files. I was transferring them to my D: drive, and then realized it would be too much work/time for that night and deleted the D: drive files. Unfortunately, it was very late and my tired brain had already “PERMA”DELETED the C: drive files from my recycling bin. Lo and behold, i was able to restore some of my files using recuva, but they were heavily corrupted so I decided to do a clean install of my music software an

  2. Registry editing

    Hello,

This issue may have occurred after one of the following situations:

    • You upgrade the Windows operating system.
    • You install or uninstall CD or DVD recording programs.
    • You uninstall Microsoft Digital Image.

Given that, we suggest performing the methods in this article:
Your CD or DVD drive is not recognized by Windows or other programs
    .
The resolutions that are listed in that article may help solve some instances but not all instances of this problem.

Important:This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow
these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, refer to the following Microsoft Knowledge Base
    article.

Feel free to update us with the results.

  3. Windows 10 Lock Screen still appears after registry edit

Good day, Community: I run Windows 10 Pro - version 10.0.14393 Build 14393 w/latest Features Update. I re-installed my digital entitlement copy which is activated. After the initial install, I disabled the login screen via Netplwiz.exe. I then attempted
to disable the Windows 10 Lock Screen following current registry edit protocol for NoLockScreen. I saved my edits and closed the registry. I then shut down the PC and restarted. The same lock screen graphic appeared after the PC booted but now it was the
'Welcome' screen image. Within 5 secs. it went to my desktop. I would like to bypass this 'Welcome' screen and boot directly to the desktop without displaying any other image. Any suggestions or steps would be appreciated. Thanks.

PLEASE HELP - Windows 10 not booting after attempting to edit registry

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:
    • Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
    • Try different keyboard or mouse.
    • Restart computer, repeatedly.
    • Google for related issues.
    • Update Bios, because why not.
    • Create boot media and revert to windows 7.
The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.
