Windows 10: Please help, windows search service

So i wanted to search a file with file explorer but apparently search indexing was turned off, so i went ahead and tried to turn it on, guess what i couldn't, "modify" is greyed out and rebuild in the advanced tab does absolutely nothing. i looked it up and it seemed to have something to do with windows search service, i checked it out to see if it was running or had to be restarted, it wasn,t there the windows search service was not in the services.msc. What do i do now?

• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

• Press the Windows key + R to pull-up the Run box.
• In the Run box, type services.msc and then hit the Enter key.
• In the Services window, look for Windows Search, right-click on it and then choose Stop.
• Restart your computer.
• Pull-up the Services window again.
• Look for Windows Search, right-click on it and then choose Start.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

I am using Windows 10 Home 64-bit on my computer

I am using Asus laptop, I was having my laptop repair because there are problems with the screen and the hinge. After taking it back, I factory reset all my data and download all the drivers that is provided by Asus in the website. That's all.

I have done the troubleshooting that you suggested beforehand, and I did it again. But it is still the same. Other than that, I also tried to delete the windows search index program folder based on the following suggestion:





But it is still the same. So I am still hanging with it. Can you tell what's with the problem? I don't understand what does it do with my computer. Thank you
