Windows 10: Please help with my internet connectivity.

Hi so I have the sky 1gig router and it is placed downstairs. I have my pc upstairs and it is connected to wifi via a Realtek 8811CU Wireless LAN 802.11ac USB NIC. About a month ago I used to be constantly connected to 5ghz and hitting around 80-90 mbps but currently for some reason I only connect to 2.4ghz and hitting around 4mbps. I have resettled my wifi my pc and updated and uninstalled my network drivers and nothing seems to fix the problem. When I try go to properties of my network device and change it to 802.11ac and try connect to the internet it says couldn’t connect to network. Howev

If you cannot connect to Wi-Fi or use the Mobile Data on your HTC 7 Mozart device, we suggest that you follow the steps given on
Lumia troubleshooting and repair. After each step, check to see if your issue has been fixed.

• For issues connecting to Wi-Fi networks, select Connectivity > My phone has problems connecting to Wi-Fi networks, then follow the suggested steps provided.

• And for issues connecting to the internet using a mobile data connection, select
  Connectivity > I cannot connect to the internet using a mobile data connection. Make sure to select the next options given if the problem persists.
