Please, Please, Please help me! For quite some time now, and many many trouble shooting times, my Windows 10 on my laptop will not open most apps by double clicking on a file. The file associations are correct. I can double click on a jpg, for instance, and it will open. I cannot double click and open a PDF, word doc, excel doc, or PPT, file and open it. I MUST open the app first, and then go through the OPEN/browse/select file/etc, etc. Makes me crazy.

OPENING A SAVED PDF DOC

Trying to open a PDF document, as a PDF doc that I downloaded and saved on my laptop. When I click on 'open' a message box appears. I am given two options--either convert it to a Word doc or 'Cancel". How do/can I open my doc the way that it should be, as a PDF document?

 

Unable to open PDF or Word docs

I'm suddenly unable to open pdf or word docs that are posted on a website that I access regularly. No error message. Just clocking and then a blank screen?
