Windows 10: Please Please Please Help - Windows 10 White Screen Issue

Hello... I am having a issue with my HP laptop running Windows 10. You have probably already heard of the "White Screen" issue, but I believe in this case it is somewhat unique. My laptop is booting up to a blank white screen. At first, I was able to view the screen via HDMI Output to my TV, at which point I should have backed up my computer, but didn't think to. Instead, I tried searching up ways to fix the problem. The most common thing being posted that I could find was to restart the computer in Safe Mode, which I did. But after rebooting in safe mode, the issue was not fixed and now the HDMI out was not working either. It seemed as though the computer was no longer functioning, and now when I press the power button, instead of going into "Sleep" mode, it just turns off. It also boots back up instantaneously. I tried everything I could find; the main one being removing the battery and holding Power for 60 seconds, and nothing has worked. This happened almost a week ago now, and I'm really panicking about it, as nothing on the computer was backed up and I had a lot of irreplaceable files on it. I have no idea where I would even go to take it in for repair, and I've been hoping that would be a last resort. Even if I can't make it work again, at the very least, I would be extremely happy to be able to somehow back it up. If anyone thinks they might be able to help me with this, I would appreciate it more than can be said with words. Thank you.

White Screen on Windows 10

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:

• Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
• Try different keyboard or mouse.
• Restart computer, repeatedly.
• Google for related issues.
• Update Bios, because why not.
• Create boot media and revert to windows 7.

The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.

Please answer the questions below:

• Did you use this computer with HP monitor before? And was it working fine?
• Do you see manufacturer logo or any black screen in HP monitor? Or you just immediately see white screen when you turn the computer on?

I request you to uninstall and reinstall the Graphics Card Drivers.

Step 1: Uninstall the Graphics Card
Drivers

• 
  Right click on the Start menu.
  
• 
  Click on “Device Manager” from that list.
  
• 
  Search for the Graphics Card
  from the device list, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted drivers
  from the computer.
  
• 
  Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and then restart the computer if prompted.
  

After the restart, please go ahead with the next steps to install the latest drivers and check if that resolves the issue.



Step 2: Go to the Computer or Graphics Card
manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 drivers available for the
Graphics Card model and then install it by following the instructions given in the website.
