Windows 10: Please provide a setting that truly stops ALL Windows 3rd party or native applications from...

Hi,I've read the threads and have taken all steps. The fact that mic settings can be changed by 30 different applications is crazy.Please add the ability to simply not allow ANY application from changing it. Period. I change it manually. That's it. Done!Otherwise, the mic is under constant adjustment and using Windows for quality sound recording is unproductive. Please get this right. Everyone is remote or is recording something, so fix this.

3rd party applications not detecting microphone.

I recently did a full reset of my PC and my microphone stopped detecting any sound on 3rd party applications like browsers or Discord. When I try to record anything, silence is recorded. However it works perfectly fine on all native Windows apps and surprisingly
League of Legends voice chat. Before the reset, everything worked perfectly on all applications. I have only one microphone device enabled (Realtek High Definition Audio) and it's my built-in microphone of my laptop. I've tried everything i found on the internet
but nothing seems to work.

• I updated microphone drivers.
• I allowed apps to access my microphone (in microphone privacy settings)
• I installed all windows updates
• I disabled all sound effects on the device.

Is there anything else I could try?

 

Are Windows Phone 7 stock applications based on different technologies than 3rd party applications ?

3rd party applications are written in Silverlight or XNA, both .NET. The native OS applications are written in C++

 

When will 3rd Party apps for WP7 be developped ? (SDK for native apps)

Actually that isn't what native means. It refers to code running in the referenced environment, or OS being used, as opposed to running in some package like Java apps run in a Java Runtime Environment, or running something in an emulator that runs within the
base environment. I believe technically the third party apps aren't native as they aren't running in the CE kernal that underlays Windows Phone. The third party apps are written to run in Silverlight and XNA, AFAIK.
