    Please revert Win 11 Notepad tab stops to 8 spaces


    Notepad Developers,You just hosed decades of my .txt files that use 8 spaces per tab.Implement a new global setting if you like, otherwise leave well enough alone revert Notepad back to 8 spaces.Today I noticed Notepad using 6 spaces per tab. WHY?Thank you.

    Notepad tab spacing

    Hi Steve,

    Pressing the Tab key on NotePad will advance the cursor to 4 spaces and it's by design. We suggest that you use the space bar instead. You can post your query on Feedback Hub so our engineers and developers will be able to read your concern
    and possibly include it in our future update. Type Feedback Hub in the search field and then launch the app.

    WIn + space stopped working for me...

    While CTRL + win + Space or Shift + win + space do work. What is funny is that when i press win + space it works like I only pressed space.

    Win button is working for sure, checked it

    Languages list is showing when ctrl or shiift is additionally pressed

    Any suggestions?

    Notepad Settings- Windows 10

    Is it possible to modify some settings in Notepad? I'd like to set the tab key to indent 3 or 4 spaces rather than the 11 that is the default. Any suggestions?
