Windows 10: Please software devs - old versions sometimes better than new ones

Hi folks
Why is it that sometimes the old versions of programs are often so much more usuer friendly than newer ones (not always I might add).

Typical example here is the AVG Video converter -- this old release works really well converting 1:1 a file forom mwts to mkv format without loss of format etc.





the latest version is a hodgepodge and really complicated to do a simple file conversion at 1:1

Please developers keep stuff functional -- and don't remove easy features from old versions.

Why don't the old versions of software get deleted when updating?

Most of the Microsoft ones are looked at as updates.
The Java ones... you have to delete the versions you don't want.

There are ways to clean up the listing... manually or by some software.

EDIT: Some is poorly written software that does not clean up after itself, too.

Here is the step to remove that old email address.

Start typing an email address into the “To” field. As soon as you see the old email address being recommended as one of the potential candidates, use the down arrow key to scroll through the list of suggestions. Once you highlight the old email address, type
the delete key. In many cases, this will actually remove the entry not only from the current list of suggestions but from future suggestions as well. You may even find that as you mouse over the drop-down list the highlighted item will have an “x” to explicitly
allow you to delete it.

Just do this step and your good to go.
