Please stop messing with my AMD drivers, every alternate weeks I have to spend hours to fix the issue caused by windows 10.

I have a lenovo laptop with AMD graphics cards, and there are only specific versions of the driver that works with it. I have the required drivers but your windows 10 just keep uninstalling it in the name of update, I have used wushowhide to disable graphics card update, it seemed to work for sometime but now that is also not working.

I don't understand which fools have you employed who thought that machines can ever be smarter than human being or that you can be 100% sure that your updates will work for everyone, why do you force update my drivers ? let me choose what to update and when to update please ? Just because you have monopoly in Computer OS doesn't mean you can abuse us like this.

Please restore the option to select which updates to install, specially the ones related to drivers.

SSD samsung evo and amd drivers

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

The issue could be because of the AMD drivers installed on the computer.

Since the Samsung SSD is working fine with the Microsoft AHCI driver, I suggest you to update the AMD driver and check if that helps. To update the AMD drivers follow the steps from the article

Update drivers in Windows 10.

If updating the drivers didn’t help, I suggest you to roll back the driver to previous build and check if that helps. To roll back the driver to previous build follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Press and hold the Windows + X key on the keyboard.
   
2. Select Device manager.
   
3. In Device manager, expand IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers.
   
4. Right click on AMD SATA Controller and select
   Properties.
   
5. Navigate to the Driver tab and click on Roll Back Driver.
   
6. Restart the computer.

Installing AMD Drivers....

Tx for the suggestion/link Mark. I just checked my updates, switched over to slow ring just for the heck of it. and there was an AMD 3000 driver update. It installed and restored my dual monitors. What a relief that was, have been chasing this problem for two weeks. Puzzling since10130 upgrade worked and then when I did a clean install, it did not. MS must have realized the problem thru several feed backs or that was a bug they had to fix from the 10130 initial release.? *Tongue

Where would this driver be stored on the Hd. Was wanting to make a copy in case this happens again on next build. It should be an .inf file and would be all that I need??
