Windows 10: Plofile loader fails to load profile. Cannot log into Windows after reset.

Hi to everyone,First of all, happy new 2023!I'm having serious problems re-logging into my old PC after I wanted to do a clean re-install of Windows OS I was having serious speed issues since weeks, maybe I got infected by a virus.The procedure I did was:Settings > Security & Updates > Reset > Reset "Start" Button > Clean all FIles > Download from cloud.Followed all steps carefully. At some point I was asked eitehr to press Esc or F12 for something called TMP if I'm not wrong, or something similar. First time pressed 'F12'.Done. But... at first reboot, still my old admin

Windows Profile Not loading, Everything seems to reseted

I am not seeing that I am logged into an temporary profile. It is the same user profile of mine, however there seem to reset of everything with program files along with all missing application, I can still see go to the C> Program files or USER> APP Data> Local| Roaming |...

Stand Corrected: I am in Temporary profile based on the eventViewer log displayed



I am hoping some windows update didn't do this, The last one was KB4023057. I also did update my AMD graphic driver and AMD Chipset. With this steps, I was careful with having to uninstall with DDU in safe mode, then reinstall the AMD software.

Hello,

When attempting to login to my computer, I get the following message:

"The User Profile Service service failed the sign-in.

User profile cannot be loaded."

I referred to this Help article,You receive a "The User Profile Service failed the logon” error
message,

but the only difference is I only have one user profile on this computer. So, I can't login with another user to go through the steps listed in this post.

Any suggestions?

I am using registry editor from command prompt. Drilled down to c:windows\system32\config inside the Load Hive dialog window. Have selected (checked box) the SAM file; clicking on Open opens error message that says:


SAM
This file is in use.
Enter a new name or close the file that's open in another program.

I am at a loss, since I am not running any other program!

Any suggestions?

The SAM file is listed as being 64KB file size.
