Windows 10: pls help "This application could not be started"

I added a memory card to my laptop. It is in NTFS format. I was storing some files there. I haven't done anything important. Suddenly all files changed into shortcuts and when I try opening it shows me this message This application could not be started. I checked and there are files stored there. Is this because the card is damaged? Or I need to install something?

@smoka Great you fixed it and would be interesting to know how you did it. Care to list the basic steps you took to do it so that it can help others stuck in the same situation?

 

Explorer.exe, Werfault.exe, RuntimeBroker.exe (application errors). start wont come up and application errors wont go
