Windows 10: Plustek scanner stopped working

Been working fine for a couple of years. Now nothing happens when I start the plustek filmscanner 8100 app. Tried uninstalling, installing in compatibility mode windows8 and rebooting. Installing in s mode not a possibility. The windows App Store only allows for upgrades.

Plustek Optic Film7200i scanner not working with Windows 10.

The scanner worked perfectly on windows XP but will not work on my Windows 10. I contacted Plustek who suggested I disable the Driver Signature Enforcement. I followed all the procedure and when I reach the point of selecting 7 or F7 which ever I do the
computer just restarts I do know if it has been disabled but in any event I still cannot load anything from the CD Rom. Plustek did warn that the CD might be too old for installation but did not offer any possible solution if it was too old. Any ideas please
or should I just dump the scanner??

 

Plustek A300 Windows 10 software becomes unresponsive after Windows 10 updates

We have two Plustek A300 scanners which have consistently worked perfectly with the compatible software provided by Plustek, after previous Windows OS upgrades.

However, since upgrading to Windows 10 and uploading the compatible software from Plustek (V6.0.0.0) the scanners become unresponsive after a period of time, which appears to correspond with windows updates. The only solution offered by Plustek is to uninstall
all other printers from the computers before re-installing the software. This appears to work temporarily, but after a period of time the same issue occurs.

Obviously this is not an ideal situation for a busy working environment so could anyone suggest a more permanent solution please?

Plustek Optic Film7200i scanner not working with Windows 10.

Hi Dennis,

I understand that you would like to install the Plustek optic Film 7200i scanner with Windows 10.

As there are no Windows 10 compatible drivers available from the manufacturer, I suggest you to install the available Windows 7 drivers in compatibility mode and check if this helps.

Follow the steps to install in compatibility mode :
1. Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘properties’.

2. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 7/8 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.

3. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
