Windows 10: Pop-up message when opening google on Microsoft EdgeLegacy browser

Whenever I try opening google using Microsoft EdgeLegacy browser, a message pops uprefer screenshot.

It says that, "Your browser's default search settings may have changed. Restore now?" and gives the option as "No thanks" and "Yes" to repond.





I most of the time ignored it since I doubt its authenticity or I have to press "No thanks". Even if I pressed "No thanks" once, the same message pops up in each case I open google on Microsoft EdgeLegacy browserfor the 1st time; if again I try opening it in new tab various other messages pops up mostly regarding switching to Google Chrome as default browser which is common and nothing serious.

So, first of all I want to know if the message is really authenticreally my browser's search settings have changed and I need to restore it or it is just a trick for switching to Google Chrome.

What is the meaning of that message?How to get rid of this message pop-up or fix the issue if any?

Browsers won't access google

Hello,

To troubleshoot you concern, we suggest that you disable your browser's proxy settings. You may refer to the steps below:

Microsoft Edge

• Open Microsoft Edge.
• Click Menu (...).
• Click on Settings.
• Click on View Advanced Settings.
• Open Proxy Settings.
• Turn off Use a proxy server.

Internet Explorer

• Go to Control Panel.
• Click on Internet Options.
• Click on Connections.
• Go to LAN Settings.
• All check boxes should be unchecked.

Update us on the result.

Incopatability with Google Docs

Hi Ba,

I am sorry to know that Google Docs print option not working as expected.

Try with a different browser and check if it works.

It could be a browser or browser's settings issue.

I suggest you to run the Printer Troubleshooter and check if it helps.

  In Search window type Troubleshooting and click on it to open it.
  
• 
  Click on Hardware and Sound.
  
• 
  Then click on Printer to run the troubleshooter. Follow onscreen steps.

edge browser won't open

Please provide more information before we proceed

• Do you facing this issue only with few sites or with all websites?
• Are you getting any error message when try to open?
• Are you able to use other browsers on your system?
• Is the Microsoft Edge Windows opens?

Step 1:

If Microsoft Edge browser opens, I would suggest you try clearing cache and cookies.

Follow the steps below:

• 
  Click on the More actions (…) icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
  
• 
  Select Settings and click on
  Choose what to clear.
  
• 
  Check the boxes Browsing history,
  Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and
  files and click on Clear.
  

Step 2: If the browser didn’t opens try running
System File Checker.

System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.
