Windows 10: POP3 email clients

    I have Windows 10 Pro and I'm desperately trying to find a program that actually works using POP3. I've tried Yandex, Mailbird, (which I have paid full price for in 2016 and 2018 when it said POP3 with NO constructive help from them to get it to work) Thunderbird but have stayed away from AOL and Outlook. All three above say they do POP3, and I really wanted Mailbird to work, but I can't seem to get them to work with POP3 and Gmail. I have Gmail all configured from years ago when I was using Live.com before it screwed my email up and I quit using it.


    I loved Eudora and I've looked at it since someone brought it back but haven't actually tried it. Someone a year or so ago said he was using Eudora with no problems but I had trouble installing it.


    I just want a program that will bring all my email down from Gmail and reside on my machine forever unless I delete it. Is anyone out there using one that is foolproof and works like a charm? Or am I asking too much.

    I'm not new to computers or Windows or software or configurations. Really getting aggravated that I can't get one to work for me.

    It has a problem with 2 step authentication. What is the domain?
    Is your username the same as email address?

    E7 pop3 email client

    I can’t get the default email client to behave like a pop3 client. Apart from some small bugs, like if inbox is empty you can’t get to your sent folder, I can send and receive emails properly. However, I can’t find a normal pop3 setting “Leave mail on server”.
    Which means it will download all new messages from the server, and nothing else.

    Now it more or less behaves like a mapi client and syncs against the server and removes all messages from the inbox that I have deleted from the server. But I want to have the messages on the phone until I delete them.

    Any email program out there that I can use on the Nokia E7 that can be used as a normal pop3 client?

    Apart from this email problem I would say that Nokia E7 is the best phone I have had so far. If I only could get the Nokia E7 hardware and use N900 software it would be perfect

    My apologies, got it working but I'd never dream of using it.
    I have to click this

    then select either my MS account or my POP account before I can view my emails.

    It's horrible, it's like a phone app. Thunderbird for me.
