Windows 10: Poping sounds when playing games on laptop

I was playing some games until I started to hear poping sound but I restarted the laptop and still didn't work.

• What is the make and model of your device?
• Did you receive any error messages?
• Are you experiencing the issue when playing games only?
• Is the issue the same when playing a different game? What game are you trying to play?

No sound playing on newly downloaded games

I have a laptop recently purchased (Late November 2018) that was intended for playing games. It's an ASUSTeK Strix 17 GL703GE. I have downloaded and played many games without issues in terms of sound before, but within the last month have downloaded three
new games, and two of the three don't have any sound at all. While these two games are running, I can open my browser and play sound through there, play music through Spotify, listen and chat in a voice chat through Discord, get system sounds, and get music,
interface, and other various sounds through other games, but nothing will come out of either of the games. One game is through Steam and the other is on its own personal launcher. The third one is through Alderon Games, and that's the one that actually has
sound.

My system is completely updated, both games are up to date, restarted my laptop, I've done a troubleshoot, I've uninstalled and reinstalled both games, verified files, checked my audio manager and mixers, and everything is running just fine on there. I'm
at my wits end, I have researched endlessly, and these games are frankly no fun to play without sound, or simply unplayable without sound, and for something I've spent money on that's not okay. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
