Windows 10: Popping, crackling, distorted audio on HDMI only.

Hello all. Been at this problem for a few days now and running out of ideas. Things were running fine until the last windows update, which ended up bricking my PC. The update hung halfway through the process. 4 hours later, I reset the PC. On start up, I immediately got the BSOD. I tried Sys Rst and a few other things to no avail. Eventually, I just realized it was time to do a fresh install. After completing the install, I noticed audio through HDMI to my T.V was now popping and crackling. Where? Streaming: all browsers Chrome, Firefox, EdgeYouTube, Netflix, ectPlaying local music on programs

Audio Distortion, Popping and Crackling.

Hi after upgrading to Windows 10, I am having issues with my Audio.

Distortion, Popping and Crackling all present.

I have tried everything and I cannot get it to go away.

I have updated drivers, rolled back drivers and changed every setting I could but I cannot get it to work.

I installed a program to measure audio latency (LatenctyMon).

I am using the HP Spectre x360. On latest bios.

I have had similiar issues like this on my previous laptop, I must just have bad luck...

Anyway the drivers that I found to be causing the problems where Ndis.sys and TCPIP.sys which are both Microsoft drivers which is why I am here. I had a look into this and I believe these drivers were updated to version 6.5 with Win10.

Anyone know a fix for this?

On previous laptop there was an option to disable audio effects, on this the option is not present.

Windows 11 garbled USB audio--popping and crackling

For the last couple of weeks I've experienced popping, crackling, and distortion on USB audio. I've used USB audio since Windows 7 with no problem. It happens when playing music. Game audio works fine. Analog audio through the motherboard works fine.I have tried quite a few fixes including: Rolling back the last two updates to a point before the audio problem started; Uninstalling and reinstalling the USB audio driver. Uninstalling and reinstalling all of the USB controllers. Tweaking the power management settings on USB and CPU. Uninstalling the HDMI audio driver. Trying different USB DACs.

I'm at my wit's end. All of the solutions MS has proposed have failed. I use my desktop machine for audio production and music listening all the time. I'm unable to use the tools that I've used in one form or another for over 10 years. I'd appreciate some help with this.
