    This afternoon, after being on eBay site putting photos for normal listings for my brother, I got a new ransomware pop up. I will try to attach screen shots that I photographed to give you a better idea. This happened awhile after installing Mozilla Firefox with Google Search. I am tired of negative things happening as this lousy HP 15 g036cy laptop never worked well since it came out of the box with Windows 8. Since then, 8.1 and I was able to get the free 10 upgrade while it lasted. If anyone has any security solutions or fixes or your own suggestions to help in this case, I'd greatly appreciate them all.     malicious pornographic spyware alert

    That's a fake alert/warning pop up, usually with a phone number to call. It's a so called Tech Support Scam.

    It does not necessarily mean that your computer is infected and those pop ups are in general easy to close.

    What really helps is the use of a good browser together with a good advertisment etc blocker and a good Anti-Virus program.

    Personally I use Firefox, uBlock Origin, Emsisoft Anti-Malware.
