Windows 10: Portable Device Driver Issue

I have two identical laptops HP Elitebook, one is from work and the other is personal. I am connecting my Nikon DSLR to use as a webcam. When I connect it with my personal laptop it works fine but when I connect it with my work laptop it does not pick the camera.


I have done a bit of digging at it seems there is a difference in the driver versions in both laptops. In Device Manager the Nikon DSLR shows up as a 'Portable Device'. When I check the driver details for this on the 'working' laptop the Driver Version is 10.0.18362.1 whereas when I check it on the laptop that is 'not working' the driver version is '10.0.17763.1'.


I was thinking of updating the driver in the latter but can't figure out how to do that manually. I've tried uninstalling this driver but it brings back the same version.
