  1. Positioning windows above the screen

I'm running Windows 11. I often want to position a window so that its top bar is partially offscreen there are several reasons why I might do this. Until a recent update, I could do it easily by dragging the window up. But now that doesn't work; a window dragged above the top of the screen immediately snaps back so its top bar is fully in view. Any ideas on how I stop that? I really want windows to just stay where I put them.I see that others have asked about similar issues in the past, but I don't see any recent threads, and the one concrete suggestion I saw changing the DockMoving string

    :)

Nice if Start screen "remembered" its position

This is not really a problem to be solved now, but a suggestion to Microsoft for a future update or version of Windows.

It would be nice if the Start screen remembered its position. For example, if I open the Start screen and scroll down to those applications that start with the letter "W", the next time I open the Start screen, it reverts back to displaying the top of the
list. It would be nice if it "remembered" I was on "W" and opened at that position.

    Save Window Position

    Hi Shane,

Saving the window size/position when opening a message to a new window is easy. Simply follow the steps below on how to do so:

    • Open a message in a new window.
    • Press and hold the Ctrl button on your keyboard and click on the
X button at upper right corner of the window to close it.
    • When you open a message in another window, the size/position of the window should be saved.
If you have other questions, do let us know.
