  1. Possible bitcoin farm malware on my PC?

Hi, I've been leaving my PC on over night for some time and noticed it ramping up the fans after idleling. Originally thought it was because of the heat or me not changing the thermal paste for a long time, but now its getting colder, and I've noticed it stops ramping up the moment i get at my pc. So I've done a test with task manager on and a timer and after exactly 4 minutes every time my system ramps up from 0.3% cpu to ~30-40% cpu and high power usage, and stops the moment I move my mouse. If it was just a rampup with no process or with a process like "def_not_malware" I would have been su

  2. Possible Bitcoin Miner

Hello, for a while now I have had what I think a bitcoin miner on my PC but now I am deciding to do something about it, well, at least I tried to. Basically, I recently installed Malwarebytes to see if it would pick up this "miner." This "miner" would use
Notepad and it would use about 20% of my CPU (that's why I assumed it was a bitcoin miner.) Malwarebytes has picked up nothing in the virus scan. I removed Notepad from my PC as I didn't use it, but now I keep getting notifications from Malwarebytes of it
blocking this website due to a "Trojan": pool-nyc.supportxmr.com

Malwarebytes also says the "Trojan" is coming from explorer.exe, but when I scan with this anti-virus it picks up nothing.

Did our Epson printer get hacked?

Another question, is this on a home network or a work network? The steps @eidairaman1 listed are always a good first step. If this is on a work network you manage, I'd be much more concerned than the home one. It is possible someone is screwing with you, but malware could also be the culprit.
