Windows 10: Possible Driver Issue - bluetooth "headset" plays no audio, "headphone" option works fine

Hello & thanks for your timeI work remotely Windows 10, Surface 4 and typically use a one-ear bluetooth headset for Teams calls so I hear all audio in the earpiece and my voice is captured by the device's mic. A few months back I started having issues where I join a Teams call and I cannot hear any audio thru my Bluetooth headset so I have to turn it off to revert to playing audio out of the laptop speaker and picking up my voice thru the built-in PC mic. Further investigation shows that anytime I have the audio source selected as "headset", which is what I desire to have both audio play

bluetooth headphones

setting up win10 Bluetooth and my Bluetooth headphones work fine ,but every time I reconnect the headphones I have to delete them from Bluetooth settings and let win10 pickup the headphones again ,before they will pair ,then win10 want to reboot to add the headphones ,I reboot and they work fine ,but next time I plug the headphone in again they will not pair ,don't even get an option to pair till I delete the head phones from the list ,, any suggestions ,, thank

 

Bluetooth Headsets wont play audio and record at the same time

Upon discussion with the manufacture of the headsets, they provided a new bluetooth USB dongle. This being of their own, I figure it works just fine.

I found out, however, that standard Bluetooth profiles do not support "Hands Free" and the more quality audio profile for music. If you want to record and hear at the same time, you must use the driver/device for "Hands Free". This will permit the audio to play at the same time that you talk.

As stated, the quality of the audio is sub par. Built for hands free calls. In order to support audio at high quality and microphone, you need headphones that are "Faststream" capable. This is new to me. Guess it's bluetooth with crappy audio quality while VOIPing on a game, or proprietary wireless dongle for your headset. (Sadly, 2.4ghz dongles wont work as it seems the 802.11 wireless router I have interferes with it. Along with my neighbors.)

 

Bluetooth headphones issue

I have recently added Bluetooth headphones to my laptop running Windows 10. I had to add a Bluetooth USB dongle to get the JLab headphones to pear. I can listen to online music or YouTube videos through the headset just fine. I can hear audio from my audio
and video files on my storage devices W/VLC Player, but can't hear any audio from iTunes or from Video Pad video editor (NCH Software) with the headphones. I got the Bluetooth Headphones to use while editing video/audio. iTunes and Video Pad audio can be heard
threw the computer speakers while the Bluetooth headphones are working. When the Bluetooth Headphones are disconnected, all of the above mentioned audio sources can be heard through the speakers. I contacted the NCH software tech and got this suggestion, "The
reason why it does not play when using VideoPad and iTunes could be related to the bluetooth transmit frequency or the audio driver priority." What can be done to correct this issue?
