    Possible scam


    Received a message on my computer screen that my computer is infected and call a number. I did not call. I Shut down the computer as it took over the entire computer. It is only happening when I go to sign on a specific link. Please advise

    • Which Microsoft website have you visited?
    • What is the phone number that you have contacted?
    • What is the make and model of the computer?

    All these kind of pop-ups/alerts are fake warnings - scams. Never ever call these numbers.
