  1. Possible to Delete Local User and Reinitiate First Time Setup?

I'm wiping some computers at work that we'll be selling to our employees. I'm trying to get them as updated as possible before we hand them over. The Lenovo restore image puts them at Windows 10 1706. I'm creating a local user and updating them to make sure theyre current and all things work, especially drivers and BIOS.

When I'm done, is there a way for me to delete the User account I created and reinitialize it for First Time Setup so they can create they're own account? I know I can do that last part, just not sure if I can do them both.

    Hi Marvin,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community and being a part of Windows 10.

I understand your concern about delete the multiple user accounts on your device. We will help you with this issue.

Try few of the below troubleshooting steps to delete local user account and check if it helps.

Note: When you want to delete a user account from your computer:

    • You must be signed in as an administrator to be able to delete a user account.

    • You will not be able to delete a user account that is currently signed in. You will need to sign out the user first.

    • Be sure to always have at least one enabled administrator account on the PC to avoid not being able to perform actions that require administrator rights.

Step 1: Steps to Remove a User Account in Settings

    • Press Windows
      key, click on Settings.

    • Click on Account, click on
      Family and other users.

    • Select the user you want to delete under
Other users and click on Remove.

    • Accept the UAC (User Account Control) prompt.

    • Select Delete account and data if you wish to delete account and the data and follow onscreen instructions.
    OR

Step 2: Steps to Delete a User Account in Command Prompt

    • Press Windows + X keys from the keyboard, select

  4. Possible to Delete Local User and Reinitiate First Time Setup?

    Local account installation question

I'm fairly certain that Skip this step was available in 10.0.130 - the workaround in Step 20 (back button) is no longer required.

The currently known, as of 10.0.130, ways to create a Local account sign-in are
    • Skip this step at the MS account creation phase
    • No Internet connection during the install
    • static IP (post# 2 by Fragment) - New (to me anyway)
