  1. Possible to force 6e hotspot in windows 11?

Purchased a mini PC with 6e AMD rx608 capability in order to generate a stable 6GHz hotspot in crowded wifi environments. In setting the hotspot up I'm given three options, 2.4, 5, or Any available where I expected the 6GHz band as an option. Is there a way to enable the 6GHz band as an option or force the hotspot to use that band?OS specs - Win11Pro - 22000.613US region. AMD Ryzen 4000 64Thanks for a quick response!Eric

    Windows not discovering mobile hotspot

I think you have already answered both of the other points I would have checked so I have nothing else useful to suggest -
    - Your computer can detect other 2.4GHz networks/hotspots
    - Other computers can detect your phone's 2.4GHz hotspot

I have deliberately altered some Windows settings to hide unwanted local networks [not just stop any connection to them but hide them from appearing in the list of available networks]. But you have not been taking similar measures or you would have said so.

As a final check, see if your phone's mobile hotspot appears in the list of detected networks using
    NirSoft WiFiInfoView

    Best of luck,
    Denis

    Windows Hotspot

    Hi Hariprasad,

Faulty WiFi adapter is one of the possible reasons why you are not able to connect to a hotspot that has 5.2 GHz Band. For us to assist you regarding your network issue, kindly answer the following questions:

    • Have you made any changes to your computer prior to this issue?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
    • Have you tried using another device to connect to your hotspot that runs on the 5.2 GHz band?
    • Are you using a third-party software to setup your hotspot?

    Regards.
