Windows 10: Possible to force open/save dialogue to use the one with short cuts on the left to Quick...

It's the best one out of a selection of the GOP of them.

Force list view in the Open-Save dialog possible?

A the left, major part of the image, is shown up the Open - Save dialog that show the cursed Icons by default in Win XP SP 1.0a... I do wonder, if I can modify the comdlg32.dll somehow (or registry?) to FORCE the Open-Save dialogue to open always default with the list view, as shown in the right part of the image:





I tried hard searching on Google for the comdlg32.dll internals, but did not found anything usefull. I think that it will be something in the dialogue no. 1547 (when one have disabled the places bar, witch places it will be the no. 1552) in comdlg32.dll file:

Not what is pre-selected by them.

So, maybe I have to edit the dialog this way?

Dropped short cut

Once again I find myself looking for a long used short cut. Apparently Windows 10 and Bing do not like Yahoo. I downloaded 10 and was comfortable navigating around. The next day, I logged on and Yahoo was among the missing. Easy to go to Windows Edge
and then to Yahoo, but the program will not right click to a drop down and choices of creating a short cut on the desk top. I tried Mr. Smithers fix to get Google Earth back, but yahoo is not listed in the "Apps' section. Any suggestions. Thank you in advance.

 

Can I pin a Power short cut to my task bar?

Hi,

I'm using 64 bit Windows 10 and at present I have to open a new window to switch off my machine. Is it possible to pin a Power short cut to my task bar so I can perform this function in just two steps? Thanks.
