  1. Possible to lock in audio settings (left/right audio) between restarts?

My laptop's left speaker has a loud crackling/popping sound. I realized if I put the left side of audio to 0 the problem goes away. The problem is that when I reboot the settings get reset and the crackling/popping sound comes back. Is there any way to lock in this setting between reboots?

    Hi,

      Troubleshooting.

    • In the left pane click on View all

    • Right click on each listed disabled audio device that you want to enable, click on
Enable and set it as default.
    • Click OK to close the Sound window.
    • Restart the computer and check the result.
If the issue persists you can try the below steps and check if it helps:

    • Go to Device manager.
    • Expand Sound, video and game controllers’ item.
