  1. Possible to lock keymap selection?

Windows 10 keeps changing keymaps constantly. It's incredibly annoying. On one computer I managed to solve this since I only wanted to use one keymap, and with powershell it's possible to physically remove any other language than the one you want to use.

On this computer there is no such luck since I need to swap keymaps from time to time. The issue is that this happens without my input, all the time.

I'm searching for some kind of solution where the only reason, EVER, in ANY circumstance, that Windows will change keymap is if I go to the language bar and click that keymap. I want it to persist through locking the screen, logging out, restarting, switching users etc. I'm fine if the fix requires registry hacks or other such things when swapping keymaps, but I don't want to resort to uninstalling and reinstalling the entire language pack every time I want to switch (which seemingly is the only solution)

Just to clarify, I have removed all shortcuts regarding the language bar so this is not an issue with me accidently swapping with some keymap. This is Windows switching keymaps by itself.

Also if this could be extended to Hyper-V console sessions and RDP sessions it would be great as well, since these will swap keymap almost 100% of the times you connect to them.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

Is it possible to map the 'multimedia menu' on a selection key (N79)

Yes! I found it. I just had to create a new entry in the 'App List', which is only active for 'Standby'.

Then I created a new keyMap entry: "left softkey (164) to my multimedia key (186)"

Assigned this new keyMap entry to the Standby entry et presto!

Thanks @scoobyman and @grschinon for the tips.
