    My old laptop which was running Windows 11 Home originally out of the box, which then I upgraded to Windows 11 Pro through the $99 Microsoft Store upgrade has died and will not turn on again. I am getting a new laptop with Windows 11 Home on it, but I still want a Windows 11 Pro licence on it. Is it possible to transfer the licence? I don't want to spend another $99 to upgrade my new laptop to Pro. I am willing to take out the SSD if needed to retreive the product key/licence. Does anyone have more detailed steps on how to transfer over the licence if it is possible?Thanks,Kiet

    Hello guys,

    I need your help to solve my issue.

    My Dell XPS 15z laptop is dead, which I bought with Windows 7 Pro and then Updated to Windows 8 Pro by paying for the upgrade. Then to Windows 10 Pro for free. As the laptop is dead now, I bought a new Dell XPS 15 which is having Windows 10 Home.
    Can I use the old licence to upgrade my new laptop to Windows 10 Pro, and if possible, can I use my linked Microsoft with digital entitlement, if yes how to? the old laptop HDD is good but not able to boot from it on a different machine, it's showing auto
    repair and stopping. Please help me on this issue.

    How to transfer a Windows 10 Pro Upgrade Licence

    My Dell laptop has died. It was originally supplied with a Windows 8 Home OEM licence, upgraded to Windows 10 Home then I bought a license to upgrade to the Pro version.

    I need to buy a new laptop which will come with a Windows 10 Home licence. Can I reuse the Pro upgrade licence currently linked to the dead laptop for the new laptop and how do I transfer the licence? I can’t remember the T&Cs of the Pro upgrade licence.

    Dead laptop can't transfer windows 10 l didn't know you needed to add a Microsoft account to transfer digital licence. Can't get into old laptop to transfer licence to my microsft account
