Windows 10: Possible to update BIOS for Ryzen 2400G using external GPU?

Long story short i killed my mobo and probably my CPU. I have to order my mobo online as AM4 ITX boards are not sold locally, but I'm thinking of getting an Ryzen 5 2400G as it's cheaper than my 1500x but good enough to tide me over until Ryzen 2, and allows me to sell my GPU to recuperate some of the loss (as I'm not really pc gaming much at the moment)

My question is, if my mobo needs a firmware update (not clear if it does or not), will the computer boot using an external GPU? Nothing is really clear on that.

AMD Radeon Vega 11 integrated graphics can't find enough resources Code 12

Okay so I just built my first rig, everything's running smoothly, but just one problem.

I can see the integrated graphics I have under Display Adapters in Device Manager, but there's this exclamation mark on it and it says

"This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)

If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system."

Please help, I've been trying to find a solution for the whole day, I've reinstalled the AMD drivers multiple times but it's still not working.

My PC specs:

AMD Ryzen 5 2400g with Radeon Vega 11 Graphics

MSI B350 Tomahawk motherboard

Corsair Vengeance LPX 2666mhz 4 x 4GB ram

Samsung 850 Evo SSD 500GB

Toshiba 1TB HDD

Thermaltake Smart RGB 500W PSU

 

BIOS update

Before i do the update of BIOS on my new motherboard (Ryzen) , i heave read alot of trouble haveing people with WIN 10 OEM activation. Do i have to fear or is it the thing of past (2015) ?

 

No,it will not work if BIOS is not up to date with or without discrete GPU. On the other hand, new BIOS is available for at last 2 month now for most MB makers so it's very good chance your chosen MB would be compatible. AMD is also offering free use of one of their lowest end AM4 chips and all you have to return is CPU itself and can keep the cooler. AMD will lend you an older processor to update your BIOS to support a Ryzen APU | PC Gamer
In any case, you can contact MB seller to check for compatibility or have a note to that effect on their site. May also have a sticker on the box with updated compatibility.

 

Dang. Well I'll know by Wednesday if it came updated or not. And if my CPU is dead or not. I'd be buying my new CPU from memory Express so maybe they have loaners or will update it for me.
