    Possible Video Driver Problem Related to Direct X


    Hi

    Windows 10 Pro 64bit
    System Restore off due to SSD

    Anyways went to try to play an old Steam game, Train Simulator, well it installed Directx 9, well now Virtual dj software won't run, says "DirectX Failed to intilize, please install correct video driver, well I got 17.4.3 installed right now, last time this happened I ended up having to do a complete clean install, since system image didn't wanna restore right for some reason, and can't have too many writes on my SSD, so yet I keep having issues sighs

    I guess I should've left System restore activated, but don't know if that would have even helped, this is second time in 2 weeks, I guess won't try to install older games anymore

    Driver verified and related to your video driver ( atikmpag.sys) I would go into device manager (win key +"X">device manager) display driver>right click>property>driver>roll back to previous version

    There is a known problem with the video drivers that windows update is downloading.

    chip has limited capabilities,a add-on video card would update the pc & solve the problem..However,

    if you think its capable,go to intel.com/support/software/drivers,locate the intel update utility,it'll

    scan any intel-based pc for updated software/drivers..Once thru,go to microsoft.com/downloads,get

    the latest Direct X software..You can always check the video ability by going to run,or open cmd,type:

    DXDIAG run the Direct X tests

    Either way,you need to update the pc hardware drivers/software 1st
