Windows 10: Post Update to Windows 10 20H2 -> Persistent need to reauthenticate

My work issued me a laptop with Window 10 1909, which I used for nearly 18 months. During that time I used first Skype, then Teams, plus Outlook without issues with a Microsoft Business account.


2/3 weeks ago I updated to Windows 20H2. Since then, I need to authenticate multiple times along the day to use Teams and Outlook.


I do not need to reopen the app to get the auth request. I could be in the middle of a chat and suddenly get the request for authentication.


I wouldn't mind this so much except that I'm unable to use Outlook/Teams until the auth is done, which is quite annoying, since it can happen at any moment.


Additionally, every while I get a Windows notification saying that one of more of my accounts require fixing, taking me to the "Shared Experiences" Settings pages. There I click a "Fix Now", which usually requires authentication as well. This one occurs less frequently, and I can actually ignore it, since it doesn't appears to be harmful effects to my daily operation.


I was hoping that eventually some update would be released fixing this, but since it doesn't appears to be so, I'm asking to see if someone has this problem, and has fixed it permanently

Windows 10 fails to update


When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

20H2 should not be installed right-away on your device - MS said the rollout is only to a fraction of users and would be labeled as an optional update initially. Are you enrolled in WIP?

Update History is not showing v.20H2

This is normal behavior in Windows 10, typically when you install a Feature Update like 20h2, the update history is wiped, this is to prevent the user from trying to uninstall an update that was prior to the Feature Update, which would de-stabilize Windows
10, the list should start building again, when some updates are applied to version 20h2 . . .
