Windows 10: Post updates 08/26/2019 external sound card and USB hub not being recognized

I used an external sound card QHM623 and USB Hub QHMPL USB 2.0 4 Hub which have stopped working post windows updates on 26/08/2019. Below is the error messages I receive in the device manager.


1. Quantum QHM623 sound card - Receiving error "device not started due to partial or complete mismatch"



2. Quantum USB 2.0 4 ports - Receiving error "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. Code 43"


Please advise on resolution. I can attach screenshots if required.

sound card problem?

Dd what was suggested. even deleted and reload realtek drivers. Still internal sound card mic setting always returns to mute. Bought external usb sound card but win 10 does not recognize driver but other computers win 7 and 8.1 does. will try another usb
sound card that supposedly is plug and play.

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43), this error is an indication of corrupted loaded drivers. By default, Device Manager only displays drivers of
connected devices, sometimes windows can get "confused" with the old drivers in the system. I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and let us know if it is fixed.

Method 1: Install Generic driver.

1. Connect one of the USB hubs.
2. Press Windows and
   R key together on your Keyboard.
3. Type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.
   
4. Right click on the Generic super speed USB hub.
   
5. Click on Update Driver.
6. Click on Browse my computer.
7. Select Browse, navigate to: C:\Windows\winsxs when it asks for the driver location.
   
8. Click on Install to install the Windows generic file.
   

Method 2: Uninstall and reinstall Driver.

win8.1 and inoperable case usb hub

Hey guys,

I did a fresh install of win8 and updated/installed to win8.1. Now my usb2.0 hub on my case is completely inoperable. The hub did work on my previous install of win8. Devices work when installed onto the usb ports of the motherboard. I figure that this is some type of windows driver issue, being that usb support is supposed to be native in win8.1, I just don't know what driver it is or where to download it.
Or I could be completely wrong.

Any idea's or suggestions?

EDIT: I noticed that devices are getting power then plugged into the hub, the OS is just not recognizing them. I've tried this with my usb headphones and a usb drive.
