    Potentially Unwanted Programs

    Hi Microsoft,

How do I prevent the operating system from pre- and re-installing PUPs on my computer?

I neither need or want several programs on my computer that seem to have magically been installed without my permission including but not limited to:

    • Candy Crush
    • XBox
    • Hidden City
    • LinkedIn
    • Netflix
    • Minecraft

It seems like further blatant disregard to user preferences on behalf of Microsoft which looks like standard operating procedure now...

Help me get rid of and prevent these garbage applications or better yet, don't force them to be installed in the first place.

    Thanks,

    :)

  2. Potentially Unwanted Program

I have received a notice from my McAfee Antivirus program saying that the Program named Generic HTool.b is a potentially unwanted program. It has Quarantined the file from
C:\Windows\SECOH-QAD.dll. It is asking me if I want to remove the program. Can anyone tell me what program this is?

  4. Potentially Unwanted Programs

Message that malicious or potentially unwanted software might exist. Nothing in history.

I uninstalled Malwarebytes and did a restart.

I then ran Windows Defender and I still have the same message about there MIGHT be potentially unwanted programs.

But when the scan is finished there are no problems reported.

    Any other suggestions???????
