    Pounds sterling key now #


    After an update everything disappeared - desktop, wallpaper, the lot as well as the pounds sterling key becoming the #. After several phone calls with Microsoft, Windows 10 was reinstalled. However, while documents, etc are back the pounds sterling key remains the #. What, if anything,can I do?Sometimes Microsoft feels like Big Brother.

    Do you have a Pound Sterling symbol on your Keyboard, and if so when you press that key what character prints or does no character print?

    Hi Dave

    The physical keyboard has a pound sterling sign above the 3, but this now gives #

    The 2 key has '' above it , but is giving @

    The @ key is giving "

    I guess therefore that the keyboard is a UK format

    It was working fine, but seems now to have the gremlins

    Does your response apply to this situation?
