Windows 10: Power A Xbox One Controller connected via USB... works and then quits working randomly....

I have a Power A Xbox One Controller that is wired. It will only connect via USB. I have used it on my Xbox One X and had no issues what so ever. I have been playing Warzone on my PC. 1st time i plugged in the controller it worked for an hour with no issues. I guess i should mention im and a laptop dell g3. Also its not just as simple as unplug and plug back in as sometimes it take 10 times before it works again. I thought maybe when I didnt touch it and computer would go to sleep but it has happened while playing the game. I have all the recent updates on USB drivers. Any help would be much a

Xbox one controller suddenly not working with Windows 10

Problem description:

- Xbox One controller now listed in Device Manager as "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)"

- I get the following "USB device not recognized" notification when connecting Xbox One controller:

The last usb device you connected to this computer malfunctioned

Troubleshooting steps taken:

- Restart computer multiple times

- Try with 2 additional USB cables

- Try all 3 cables in different USB slots

- Uninstall controller in Device Manager, then reconnected controller. Devices is re-added with same error message:

"Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)"

Observations:

- When I tried plugging controller into the keyboard's built in USB sockets, it caused the keyboard and mouse to suddenly stop working and appear to power down until restart.

- This controller has never had this problem on this device in the past, and has previous worked perfectly with all 3 cables I used in testing.

Any additional troubleshooting steps you can suggest? Thanks in advance.

Initially, we need to pair the device to show up in the list while connected through Bluetooth. Check with the below mentioned steps and see if it works.

There is a possibility that you may encounter issues with using your Xbox One Controller on your PC if it is outdated. To properly isolate your concern, please clarify the following information:

• Have you tried to connect the controller via a wireless connection to your PC?
• Have you tried to connect the USB cable to a different USB port on your PC?
• Does the controller work on a different device?
• Did the issue start after an update?
