Windows 10: Power and sleep setting crashed after changing the battery setting in BIOS

Hello guysLet me just get straight to the point, having this crashed after i change the setting in BIOS, for power setting, about the battery start and stop charge and dischargedIt happen when i noticed the battery percentage is not correct in windows for my laptop, so i disabled it after it is not charging my laptop when its connected to the power sourceWell, its my fault also cause it shows there in the BIOS that the battery percentage will not be accurate when i switch it on so what i do is i disabled it now, but now when i logged on in windows, the power and sleep setting is always crashin

Press Windows key + X

Click Power Options

Under related settings, click Additional power settings

Click Change when the computer sleeps

Click Change advanced power settings

Expand Sleep

Expand Sleep after

Choose Never for On battery and Plugged in

 

PC will go to sleep even though the Power settings are set to Never in Windows 10.

Since the Sleep settings are set to Default, I suggest you to make changes from the
Power options settings page and check if the issue is resolved.



Change the power settings by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

  Press Windows logo key on the keyboard, type
  Power options and select the top most search result.

  Click on Change when the computer sleeps
  from the left side panel of the window and select Never option from the dropdown bar under both the options.

  Click on Save Changes and check if the changes are effective.

Computer Sleep Option Missing in Settings

The Settings Power and Sleep menu in Settings should list Screen and Sleep, where Sleep is used to tell when the PC goes to sleep. Sleep is missing, so my computer never sleeps. Fast startup and Hibernate are not enabled. I used Tutorial Add or Remove Sleep in Power menu in Windows 10 to change the registry while in administrative mode, but sleep still is not seen. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FlyoutMenuSettings now lists :1: It was 0 before the change.

I cannot get a large image, so will type Default REG_SZ (value not set) ShowHibernate REG_DWORD 0X00000000 (0) ShowLockOption REG_DWORD 0X00000000 (1) ShowLockOption REG_DWORD 0X00000000 (1) I used Option 3 to add sleep using the Group Policy Editor. The steps seemed to work fine, but sleep is still missing. I’m using a “new” refurbished Dell T3500 workstation with mbr running the current version of win10. I have a number of these computers, and the other all have the normal sleep mode . Any suggestions? Jim
