Windows 10: Power fail during Windows 10 upgrade

Power failed at 52% file completion and 15% install. This was done in a wifi residence... no network cable. Is there an accepted path to power on and continue? This is an Asus Windows 7 home premium x64 machine. Can one proceed by downloading install files to a USB? Hoping for an informed reply to continue with the install

Installation of windows 10 Upgrade

During installation of windows 10 Upgrade power failed. Now I find it can not be installed since boot.wim is missing error code 0x80070002

 

Intermittent failure to start after upgrade

After upgrading to Windows 10 from 8.1, my laptop fails to start (boot) during the first attempt. It displays the AMD screen and then powers off. It comes on only during the second attempt. Cant figure out what the problem is!

 

If you upgraded to Windows 10 less then a month ago and still have the Windows.old folder you can downgrade back to your older OS by going to Start > Settings > Update & Recovery > Recovery > Go back to Windows 7/8 depending what you upgraded from

 

Well it's been three days and no updates to the post, so no way of knowing what happened, myself, I would have tried powering it on and resuming where it left off. It very well could pick up where it was interrupted and continue the install.

There have been posts saying when their W10 install went bad that they were returned to their previous OS, if that's the case then go ahead and try the update/install again making sure as much as you can, you won't lose power again
