Windows 10: Power management in Windows 11

Hello,I'm a sound engineer working with Windows and I've been using Win11 for a month now and I've noticed that is much glitchier than Win10.Specifically I talk about basic stuff like Youtube and more advanced stuff like using a DAW Cubase Pro 12.Every now and then while watching Youtube videos I have very brief clicks or pops, once in a while, that never happened until now on Win10 and my configuration is the same as before, with up to date drivers 9900k with Maximus XI Hero Z390.The problems started when, in Cubase, I had very large CPU spikes according to Cubase's CPU meter and variou

Fingerprint issue/Power Management

already tried the credentials service one, not of any help. I guess the only fix is from the power management tab

1. Press Windows Key + X and choose Device Manager from the list

2. When Device Manager opens, locate your fingerprint reader. It should be located in Biometric Devices section.

3.Right click your fingerprint reader and choose Properties

4. Navigate to Power Management tab and uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

5. Click OK to save changes.


I want to follow this step but I cannot find the power management tab.

Step 1: I suggest you to remove all the external devices connected to the system, restart and check if the issue persists or not.

If issue still persists, try to run the troubleshooter and check if that helps:

  Search bar on the desktop and press “Enter”.

  In the “Troubleshooting” window, click on “View All” on the left pane.

To help you out with your concern, we suggest that you disable the add-ons in Internet Explorer 11. For step by step instructions, go to this

link, then look for the title Turning off and removing add-ons.

We also suggest that you reset Internet Explorer 11 through these steps:

• Go to Internet Explorer then click the Gear icon.
• Choose Internet options > Advanced.
• Click Reset.

(Note: If you have added Favorites, back up them first before resetting the browser. )
