Windows 10: Power System Icon not visible when multiple system icons are turned on

I don't recall how this behavior started but I noticed that the power system icon is invisible/missing when multiple system icons are enabled.


I can see the Power system icon when it is the only system icon is enabled, but when I enable Network and Volume these appear and the Power icon turns invisible and is not clickable/accessible.

System Icons on taskbar

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

I recently updated my computer, now my power Icon is missing and I can't turn it back on because it is grey'ed out.

Last Answer Avail on Community Forum from 2017 did not restore the option to turn it back on;

The system icon may have encountered a corruption that caused this issue. For us to help you with this concern, we suggest that you try to restart the Windows Explorer process to refresh the taskbar icons. Kindly follow the steps below:

1. On your keyboard, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and select Task Manager.
2. On the Processes tab, look for the Windows Explorer process and select it.

1. Click the Restart button at the bottom right corner of the Task Manager window.

1. After the Windows Explorer process has been restarted, check the notification area on the taskbar and see if the battery icon is visible.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

 

System Icons Description is not visible.






When I mouse over to the system icons, they usually show the description of the system icons.

For example, when I mouse over to the Wi-Fi icon, the connected wifi name would pop-up in a description box. or if I mouse over to the speaker, it would show 'sound' pop-up box.

It doesn't show any pop-up box now for every system icons except the notification icon.

How should I turn this on again?
