  2. Powering a 12v fan via 5v USB

All the fans that will spin will be slower than at 12 V, and some will not even start.

To get the fans to work as if they were on 12V you will need a boost converter from 5V to 12V Like this one

This one has a USB connection on it

  3. Can we specifically power off a USB and power ON in windows 10?

    Hello Team,

I'm looking for a way to power cycle a USB port connected to a PC with Windows 10.

I understand from the power management that with setting to sleep, the usb can be powered off during sleep condition.

Request a workaround or tweak that can be done to power off and power on the USB running a batch file etc.

Thank you for any suggestions Power to my pc's RBG Fans and usb's keep cycling :)

USB Selective Suspend Settings, follow the steps below:

    1. Press Windows + X.
    2. Choose Power Options.
    3. Select Choose when to turn off the display.
    4. Open Change advanced power settings.
    5. Expand USB settings and USB selective suspend setting.
    6. Select Enabled (default) or Disabled.
    7. Click Apply, then OK.
